About us · Made in London

A family joinery workshop, rooted in South East London

For over twenty years our family has made things from wood: fitted furniture, kitchens and bespoke joinery for homes across London and the South East. Kitchen Fronts is the homeowner’s door to that workshop. Your new fronts are cut, sprayed and drilled on the same machines, by the same people and to the same tolerances as the kitchens we make for the trade.

Kitchen Fronts is part of the Cut and Spray family

The same family runs all three. One started it, one serves the trade, and this one is for you. Whichever name is on the invoice, it’s the same bench, the same booth and the same people checking the work before it leaves.

Our story

From our bench to your kitchen

We started as a small family joinery shop, taking on whatever our clients needed: a set of alcove shelves here, a fitted wardrobe there, then whole kitchens. Two decades on, the same family still runs the workshop, now with a flatbed nesting CNC that cuts every piece out of the sheet, a HOMAG edgebander, and a 45 m² spray booth for factory-smooth finishes.

Along the way we noticed how many kitchens are thrown out when the cabinets are perfectly sound. It’s the doors that date a kitchen. So we opened the workshop up: you measure your old fronts, we make new ones to the millimetre, sprayed in any colour or finished in real wood, and you hang them on the hinges you already have.

Every order is treated like it’s going into our own house: measured carefully, finished by hand where it matters, and checked before it leaves the workshop.

What your fronts go through

Clips from our South East London workshop.

1

Nested and cut on the CNC

Every front is cut from a full sheet on a flatbed CNC router, so a 497 is a 497. Shaker and grooved faces are machined on the same pass, and the 35mm hinge cups are bored exactly where your old hinges sit.

2

Edged, where there’s an edge

Real wood veneer doors go through the edgebander for a matching veneer edge. Painted doors don’t need one: MDF is sprayed on all four edges, so there’s no edge to lift.

3

Sprayed in the booth

Medite Premier MDF, primed, flatted and sprayed front, back and edges. Colours mixed to the paint maker’s reference: Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Mylands, Dulux Heritage, RAL and more. Veneers are stained if you’ve chosen a shade, then satin lacquered.

4

Labelled and wrapped

Each piece is labelled with its place in your kitchen, wrapped with corner protectors and foam between the faces, and either collected or delivered kerbside with the fitting guide in the box. Email us a photo if you get stuck and we’ll talk you through it.

What we stand for

The things that haven’t changed in twenty years

Craftsmanship

Joiner’s standards on every cut and finish, the way we’d want it in our own home.

Precision

Cut to the millimetre so your fronts fit first time, with hinge holes where your old ones were.

Local and personal

A South East London workshop with real people behind it. Email us a photo and you get a joiner’s answer, not a call centre’s.

Honest pricing

Clear prices worked out from your list, including VAT. What you see on your list is what you pay.

What we make

Doors. Base, wall and tall cupboard doors in seven painted styles, nine real wood veneers or eight stained oak shades, cut to the millimetre with the hinge holes bored where your old ones were. See every door.

Drawer fronts and appliance doors. Any height and width, in the same finish as the doors. Appliance doors come without hinge holes so they fix straight to the dishwasher or fridge brackets.

End panels and fillers. The visible side of an end unit or island, plain or made to look like a door, and the narrow strips that close the gap to a wall.

Plinths, pelmets and cornices. By the metre in 3 m lengths: flat, bevelled, rounded, beaded or ogee pelmets; square, shaker, cove, ogee or ceiling-height cornices; moisture-resistant plinth. See the profiles.

Ironmongery. Häfele handles and knobs, drilled to suit before spraying, and Blum soft-close hinges with their plates. See the range.

Samples. Real 200 × 250mm pieces in any finish, posted to you. Order over £1,000 of doors and half your sample money comes back.

Everything is lay-on, meaning it sits on the front of your existing cabinets. If your doors sit inside a wooden frame, email us a photo and we’ll tell you what we can do.
